Types of tourism

Many young tourists choose to use the campsites.

It should be noted that not all tourists have the same characteristics or objectives. Broadly speaking, four large groups can be defined:

  • Popular sectors. The first is made up of the popular sectors. They are made up of workers employees. It is considered that in our country the promotion of tourism in these sectors began in the 1940s. Many times you get benefits from the Condition or others institutions in which they work. They tend to be rather short trips, exclusively for vacation purposes. There are usually no travel agencies involved, they are carried out on their own. Many times, accommodations created by the state are used and they do not usually vary the place of their stay.
  • Middle class. The second group is made up of people belonging to the middle class, that is, state workers, professionals and senior employees. Generally they tend to mobilize by their own means, during vacation times. They use a large part of their savings in good quality services. The places visited are usually touristy and the stays are characterized by being short.
  • Upper class. The third group is made up of members of the upper classes. As they are sectors with the necessary means, many times they are not limited to their countries of origin. In addition, their stays are usually long and they carry out many daily expenses. They usually use various services such as tours that include guides or translators in case of not knowing the language. This type of trip is usually organized by travel agencies. The means of transport used by members of this group are usually fast.
  • Youths. The fourth group is made up of young people, the vast majority of whom are students. It is for these tourists that many times other places to stay are designed such as hostels, hostels, etc. Even many young people choose to use the campsites. In addition, in certain countries they enjoy privileges regarding the price of the means of transportation or in food. These trips are usually very inexpensive and many opt for spontaneity. In other words, they do not have a fixed destination but rather quickly change their place of stay. That is why neither agencies nor tourist guides are used.
