The parents therefore have a certain amount of experience in dealing with the infant, so it can hardly be inferred from the wrong behavior on the part of the parents.

The causes of excessive crying in infancy are usually seen in the child's difficulties in adapting. In other words, it felt good in its mother's womb for nine months and was then born into a world that was alien to it. Since it cannot express its displeasure by speaking, it screams.
Other experts see physical causes in excessive screaming. They suspect that the child's intestinal tract, which is still sensitive, is not yet able to cope with the baby food or that there are intolerances to food that the mother eats.

Many doctors refer the parents directly to a cry clinic. There are now such facilities in many larger cities. This can drag on for several months without the parents having to do much about it, other than hugging and comforting their baby. Avoiding distractions like watching TV or activities that are stressful for the child can also help.
Excessive crying in the baby can also be due to chronic fatigue. It is advisable to bring the child to sleep at regular intervals. A waking phase of one to one and a half hours should be followed by a break in which the baby can recover. This avoids overstimulation. A well-structured day gives the child security. If it is also difficult to fall asleep, a warm bath or a gentle massage can help calm the baby.
So-called screaming children need a lot of attention and positive encouragement. Affected children should be addressed in a voice that is as calm and monotonous as possible. This should be maintained even if there is no immediate improvement and the child continues to cry excessively. Periods when the baby does not cry should also be used.
