What is teacher?
The teacher is thatperson who is professionally dedicated to teaching. Teaching is a profession whose objective main is to transmit the teaching to other people, you can talk in a general teaching framework or about a specific area.
A teacher has several functions to exercise, among them are the possibility of facilitating in every possible way the learning to the student, so that he can achieve full understanding of the subject or area being taught.

In Latin America, teachers at all levels of education are called professors, be it early childhood education, primary education, secondary education or higher education. It may happen that in some specific places teachers are referred to as teacher, full professor, associate professor, interim professor, visiting professor, non-permanent professor, among others.
In northern Europe those who have a permanent position and research at the university level are called professor, generally they have doctorate degrees.

A teacher, professor or teacher is in charge not only of transmitting a teaching to their students or students, but must also act as a mediator or intermediary between the activities that students carry out in order to understand and assimilate these new knowledge. It should provide all methods necessary to facilitate learning in each student.
As in any profession, teachers have the duty to carry out their work considering all ethical and moral qualities that allow them to work honestly.
Requirements to practice teaching
A person who wants to dedicate himself to teaching must meet the requirements in terms of qualities necessary to practice the profession. They are:
- Personal qualities. When talking about personal qualities, reference is made to their physical condition in general, their state of Health and their personal appearance. These three conditions are of the utmost importance, since one must have a good state of mental health, specifically to be able to carry out work.
- The same is true of physical conditions and personal appearance. People who decide to choose this profession must have adequate personal hygiene and a good appearance to be able to work in the best possible conditions.
- Another personal quality is responsibility, essential for this type of profession, and it should be required that the students themselves also have it.
- Originality is also very necessary because new and innovative teaching methods can make students even more interested in learning. The teacher must create and produce new things throughout his career and professional life, otherwise it would only be a simple repeater of content. The tolerance, Justice, patience and firmness are essential qualities for any teacher or professor, without them there are innumerable obstacles, not only for the teacher himself but also for the students themselves. That is why each teacher must be fully prepared to practice in a classroom or any teaching environment.
- Cultural qualities. The power of knowledge should not be limited and only fully focus on the area in which it is exercised, but it is also necessary to acquire content in order to have a cultural balance that places it in the position of a cultured person.
Other Factors Affecting Teaching
The teacher must create an affective group climate with his students.
As these qualities there are also direct and indirect factors that positively or negatively affect teachers as well as students, they are:
- It should try to create a group climate between teachers and students and an affective climate. These requirements can become essential to be able to work fully and achieve all the objectives set before starting a class.
- The vocation is also a practically mandatory requirement. To face this type of profession you must have a vocation that allows access to all values necessary to be able to exercise without any type of trouble during the working life of each teacher.
- Be a true instructor. When we talk about being an instructor, we mean that we must try to help the student in everything he needs to obtain the best performance and learning capacity possible from him, in this way both parties will benefit, the teacher as well as the student .
